In
the audio world there aren't many low cost - high
quality film caps. Some of the ones commonly available
are a little edgy sounding, add sssh, and sing along
with the music due to loose windings, voids or poor
quality films etc.. Obbligato caps are made with extra
tight winding, no voids and thick coated aluminum
film imported from Germany. Lead outs are soldered
copper, solid core for the dry types and for most
of the oil types. Spec'd at 5% but on average much
closer than that. Sound can be subjectively described
as smooth and easy.
Consider
these to be the equal to supreme or premium series
film caps.
