Modification Guidelines

For modifications and DIY applications, he highly recommends these gold devices for the signal path inputs and outputs of solid-state equipment, especially preamplifiers and power amplifiers. Comparative testing by Mr Bybee's listening group and himself confirms that use of the Slipstream Gold devices in the positive ( + ) signal path of solid-state electronics produces a more relaxed, burnished, "tube-like" sound than either the copper or silver versions of the Slipstream purifiers. He recommends that when performing these modifications you use as much of the length of the gold leads as possible. The more gold there is in the positive signal path, the more audible the improvement will be.

Jack Bybee's experience is that the gold is less effective on the return ( - ) path of the circuit. Generally the best audible performance results from combining gold ( + ) and silver ( - ) purifiers, but the standard copper Slipstream purifier is also very effective on the ( - )
