Absorb-GEL™
Vacuum
Tube amplifier is an excellent choice of high-end audio
equipment for its smooth, detailed and realistic sound.
However depending on it's type vacuum tube generates
"micro-phonic noise" resulted from its vibrations
and resonance's. The micro-phonic noise is prodded and
escalated by surroundings such as amplifier chassis,
tube socket and loudspeakers.
The
micro-phonic noise is depending on vacuum tube type
and brands. Basically weak construction and higher mutual
conductance generates higher noise.
There
have been varies efforts to reduce micro-phonic noise
of vacuum tubes, such as rubber rings and metal caps,
although its result was not outstanding.
Absorb-GEL™
Vacuum Tube Damper is an innovative solution resulted
from several years of intensive research and experiments
by the Allnic Audio Lab., significantly reducing vacuum
tube micro-phonic noise. All the components and materials
of Absorb-GEL™ Vacuum Tube Damper were carefully
selected and customized through repeated experiments.
Absorb-GEL™ Vacuum Tube Damper isolated and floats
tubes from primary vibration transmission media, such
as amplifier chassis or tube sockets. And Absorb-GEL™
Vacuum Tube Damper also absorbs direct airwaves from
loudspeakers.
Successful
noise reduction of Absorb-GEL™ Vacuum Tube Damper
was proven in our laboratory test and various field
tests by high-end audio listeners. Fig. 1 is a snap-shot
of oscilloscope showing dirty noise when tube amplifier
chassis was impacted. Fig. 2 shows very clear output
when Absorb-GEL™ Vacuum Tube Damper was used under
the same impact on tube amplifier chassis. Laboratory
measurement easily shows noise reduction rate up to
1/100 (-40dB).
