Scheu-Analog Cello
Turntable

The Scheu Cello was developed with the aim of transferring as many of the virtues of the Premier as possible to a compact and attractive turntable with its own integrated drive unit. We use the same high quality bearings and DC-controlled motor as in the Premier turntable.

In terms of sound, the Cello is a truly matured record player that has plenty of power and resolution.

The Scheu-Analog Cello turntable

The Scheu Cello is also the result of our research in high mass turntables.

The main focus was to bring all benefits of a high mass concept to a lower mass turntable. We could have made it completely different but after a short test with other bearings and platters we found out that it makes no sense saving money on the critical bearing and platter, which means that the bearing of the Cello is identical to the bearing of the Premier.
The reduced platter thickness of 30 mm is a part of this new concept to keep masses balanced and this platter is manufactured exactly the same way as our thicker models." No substandard, low-grade bearings and other parts. All high quality parts only, in spite of the simplicity.

The Cello is exclusively designed for 9-inch tone arms. The turntable itself is 300 mm in diameter and 30 mm high and weighs about 2.5 kilograms. The dimensions of the shell are 425 by 330 mm. The turntable can also be fitted into very small spaces and is perfectly happy located on wall brackets.
